‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Genie Francis Teases Luke And Laura Summer Adventure, Lucky’s Return
There is a wild adventure ahead this summer on General Hospital as Luke and Laura are reunited and scramble to save their son, Lucky. Viewers know that this is all leading to a farewell to Anthony Geary and the character of Luke Spencer, but many of the specifics are still under wraps. What are the latest General Hospital spoilers regarding the big story?
Genie Francis talked with TVLine about her return and the storyline ahead. Francis is back as Laura Spencer, and it was recently revealed that she will actually be sticking around for a while into the fall beyond when Luke leaves Port Charles. What General Hospital spoilers did Genie reveal?
The actress says that this storyline of Luke and Laura working together to save Lucky will be a crowd-pleaser, and many fan favorites will be incorporated. She adds that while she can’t give away specifics, it’ll be a great bookend for Luke and Laura fans.
Jonathan Jackson and Nathan Parsons are returning as Lucky Spencer and Ethan Lovett, and Francis confirms she’s already been filming with both of them. There has been a sneak peek showing Lucky back in town, and he will interact with Liz at some point, too, just as fans would expect. Francis says that she hadn’t a lot of work with Parsons, though of course that won’t necessarily come as a big shock for fans.
Viewers are going to be expecting really big moments involving Luke, Laura, and Lucky, and Francis says they deliver. She teases that fans absolutely cannot miss these scenes, and things got emotional on the set when Jackson reunited with Geary and Francis. Genie adds that the full cast and crew were thrilled to have Jonathan back again for a bit.
General Hospital spoilers tease that Holly Samms returns as Emma, as well, and viewers will see Emma and Laura together. Francis says that despite some chaos between the characters in the past, there is some closure found between them in this go-around.
As She Knows Soaps has teased, there are emotional moments ahead for Luke with Lulu, Sonny, and Bobbie, too. The show has clearly worked very hard to orchestrate this particular departure, as they want fans to feel satisfied with the story they’ve put together.
The final scenes between Luke and Laura haven’t been taped yet, which means that fans don’t have to break out the tissues quite yet. However, the time is coming soon, as Francis says that Geary’s final episodes will be filming during the week of June 22 and will air later this summer.
