Marvel Is Allowing Adults To Unleash Their Inner Artist With Adult Coloring Books


Are you waiting for the next big Marvel release? Have you seen Avengers: Age of Ultron too many times? Are you tired of reading the same comic books over and over? Marvel fans can feed their thirst with three new adult coloring books.

Adult coloring books have been popular for the past few years. Some adults color to relieve stress and to explore their creative side. Marvel is realizing the benefits of color therapy. David Gabriel, SVP Sales and Marketing of Marvel, noticed that adult coloring books have been taking over the bestsellers list. One book that has been on the bestseller lists for months is the Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Patterns.

In addition, annual comic book sales are close to $1 billion, and adult activity books are coming in closely. Marvel obviously wants to cash in on this new venture. Gabriel explained the different between Marvel’s new adult coloring books and traditional children’s coloring books.

“Around the world there are several other coloring books for adults hitting the bestseller lists and with Marvel being the premier graphic storytelling medium, now is the perfect time for us to join this latest book market trend. With Marvel’s Adult Coloring books, fans can add their own personal style to classic Marvel stories. Marvel is releasing three new adult coloring books: the Age of Ultron Coloring Book, A Little Marvel by Skottie Young, and the Color Your Own Civil War Coloring Book.

The Age of Ultron coloring book is packed with 72 pages of your favorite characters and storylines. It retails at $7.99 and it won’t be available until October of this year. Here’s a blurp from Marvel about the Age of Ultron adult coloring book.
