Katy Perry Promises ‘F’ing Dark’ Music For Next Album

Katy Perry is no stranger in being outspoken with her feelings, especially following the divorce from ex-husband Russell Brand. Now, the singer, 27, promises her next studio album will be “really f***ing dark”.

The release will be Katy Perry’s third studio album, and most of its inspiration will be pulled from the nasty split from comedian Russell Brand, which happened earlier in the year.

In speaking about the album, Perry weighed in on her image, stating, “You’d never see my face because my hair would be in it.” The singer also revealed that she has many regrets, and one of them was ever becoming a blushing bride to Brand, stating, “I’d like to use a time machine and go back to a specific date, please. I feel like an 80-year-old in an assisted-living condo.”

If media reports are evidence of how Perry has been living her life recently, which includes crashing a bachelorette party, she’s a little more youthful than 80.

Although her music has done well with a slew of number 1 hits, Perry spoke out in Teen Vogue recently to say that the fame game isn’t her thing, and that she’s frankly tired of being pulled into the machine.

“I’m tired of being famous already! But I’m not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It’s quite a delicate creature — it’s a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you. I still want to be as approachable and relatable as possible — when I meet fans and they’re crying, I’ll say, ‘Calm down, there’s nothing to cry about.'”

Are you excited about Katy Perry’s new music? Could this be a nice change for the usual peppy material the singer churns out?
