George Zimmerman’s Lawyers Quit, Say Client Has Been Out of Contact

Another strange development in the Trayvon Martin case is unfolding right now, with lawyers for George Zimmerman calling a press conference to announce that they can no longer serve as legal counsel to the shooter due to the fact he has ceased to stay in contact with them.

Defense attorneys for Zimmerman Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig spoke to press outside the Seminole County Courthouse in Sanford, confirming that Zimmerman is “far away” from Florida and while remaining sympathetic, say that Zimmerman is unable to live his life normally due to the “bounty on his head.” The vibe at the press conference has been strange to say the least, with a lot of not disclosing or dodging of questions, and the main thrust of the conference being that their former client has entirely lost contact with the attorneys.

Sonner confirmed that the door remains open to Zimmerman should he want to be represented:

“He has gone on his own. I’m not sure what he’s doing or who he’s talking to… If he wants us to come back as counsel, he will contact us.”

It seems in part that Zimmerman’s recent actions have potentially upset the lawyer-client relationship. The website created by Zimmerman to raise funds for his possible legal defense seems to be part of the issue, as well as the fact that Zimmerman is said to have called conservative talk show host Sean Hannity as well as special prosecutor Angela Corey to discuss the case, things Sonner and Uhrig say they would never have advised a client to do.

    I'm just an audio guy.. I make no claims to anything else.

    I took the 911 call with the most audio informatiion regarding screams, pulled down some of the louder noises (the actual shot and a few times the woman caller gets a bit loud) so they don't hurt you while listening to the softer noises… Then ran it at a slower speed and pitch corrected it 100 percent true. Anyone with an ear for music can tell not a note has been changed.. Digital affords you this luxury. In the analog days we had to physically slow the tape/medium down and you lose pitch and clarity.

    THIS AUDIO IS NOT ENHANCED per sey.. not like enhancing a photo.. the only enhancing has been to adust volume levels so you don’t hurt your ear listening to everything at relative volume levels.

    There are a few swirling artifacts in this copy because I had to compres the wav file to a 128 kbps mp3 to fit on my page so you had a player to hear it on.. These artifacts are slight and will not distract.

    This exercise is just a way to access the call and hear things you would not of as easily (but every bit of audio information from the original is still there) just listening to the raw recording. Akin to slowing down video without the frame per second limitations.

    Seems as though george has fled the country to avoid prosecution..that also is a crime

    Very strange. I guess he is worried that he is going to have to face charges for his actions and has decided that his lawyers won't be able to get him free of this. So now I wonder where he is hiding?

    I don't think he has been in FL for a long time, I'd say he is in a country what will not extradite him back here!

    Are you guys serious? He's not fleeing, he's looking for representation by bigger name attorneys, who in turn can make a fortune off this guy. He'll never be prosecuted for anything with the right attorney.

    I think he fleeing.
    But to be honest he needs to be BEHIND BARS HE TOOK AN INNOCENT MINORS LIFE EVEN WHEN IT WAS TOLD TO HIM FROM THE POLICE NO TO TAKE MATTERS INTO HIS OWN HANDS.

    or maby he left because he has a fu**in bounty on his head? with a bunch of people hating you wanting you dead without evan knowing the facts, just by going off what mainstream media shows them. I would leave to! The media is starting a race war and so many dumb people behaving like animals go right along with it. don't let the media think for you. don't let the tv tell you how to feel or your own government teach you to not question things. what reall
    y happend that day? None of us know the truth so we should stop pointing fingers.

    Jennell Sutton Would like to know all the facts first. If the races were reversed, black shooting Hispanic, would you want punishment before being charged and a trial? I hope not.
