Did ‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson Call Off His Wedding? Reports Surface That His Sisters Do Not Approve Of His Romance With FKA Twigs
Robert Pattinson’s plans to marry FKA Twigs might not go off without a hitch. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Pattinson is having difficulties convincing his family that Twigs is the right one for him. Although nothing official has been stated, both his sisters, Lizzy and Victoria apparently do not approve of their brother’s relationship with Twigs and are not on board with their marriage plans.
The Twilight star and British R&B singer agreed to tie the knot during Coachella 2015, and since that news broke, they have been on the receiving end of a good amount of criticisms. In fact, Twigs revealed to Complex Magazine that Pattinson’s loyal fanbase were the source of some of that harassment.
Despite the backlash from fans, Twigs remained on the positive side. “It is pretty horrible. But ultimately, I’m in an amazing relationship. So it doesn’t matter,” she stated in the interview.
Dating a Hollywood star on the level of Robert Pattinson naturally comes with additional attention, and that amount of spotlight is something Twigs admitted is hard to deal with.
“It’s really hard — I can’t begin to explain how awful it is. It makes you want to just stop everything sometimes. It makes you want to smash your face into the mirror,” she told the New York Times.
The singer went on to add that all the hardships are worth it. “I didn’t see my life going this way at all. But it’s worth it. I’m so happy… Nothing can impale my work or make me choose not to say things a certain way or make an image the way I want.”
Meanwhile, when they’re not dealing with crazy fans and paparazzi, Pattinson’s family is another hurdle the couple has to overcome. According to an inside source, Pattinson’s sisters want him to sign a prenuptial agreement before any vows are exchanged.
The idea that they would want Pattinson to prenup comes after reports that Twigs was using the relationship as a means to further her own career. Although dating a celebrity would add some amount of fame to just about anybody, Twigs career has definitely seen a boost since dating Pattinson. This is a simple fact his sisters aren’t ready to ignore.
With Robert Pattinson being so close to his two sisters, it is a possibility that they might convince him to either put a hold on the wedding plans or end it completely. Whatever happens, this is certainly a development to follow in the coming months.
