Janet Jackson Appears In ‘Nutrisystem Slim’ TV Spot With Slimmed Down Figure [Pics]

Janet Jackson has popped up in a Nutrisystem Slim TV spot looking like half – or at least 70% – the woman she was.

The 45-year-old singer appears in the ad in a figure-hugging full-length tangerine dress. While she declines to reveal just how much weight she has lost, her waist looks freakin’ tiny.

“[Struggling with my weight] is something I’ve dealt with all my life,” Jackson told Us Weekly in December. As she signed on to the Nutrisystem Slim program that month, she added:

“People can relate to me because I have lived it. I truly understand what it’s like to have a problem with weight loss, losing too much weight or gaining more than you desire to and becoming unhealthy.”

Jackson’s Nutrisystem ad aired Monday April 9, just as the post-Easter egg binge depression kicked in for many. A rep for the program said:

“For Janet, it’s about feeling good.”

To be fair, she does look pretty damn slim (a full body photo is below) – it seems she has dropped a lot. In January, the star told Jay Leno her heaviest weight was 180 pounds, a figure she hit while preparing for a movie role that was postponed.

Since the 2009 death of her brother Michael Jackson, Jackson has admitted that her excessive eating was down to the emotional trauma she had suffered. She wrote about the habit in a 2010 diet and self-esteem book, True You.

Jackson is hardly alone in slebland when it comes to pushing weight-loss products. Jennifer Hudson, Kirstie Alley, Mariah Carey and former NBA star Charles Barkley have all endorsed dieting products and/or programs in the past.
