Maci Bookout & Her Son Bentley Will Participate In Joint Therapy

Maci Bookout and her 6-year-old son, Bentley Edwards, will soon begin attending therapy sessions together. During the June 15 Teen Mom OG episode, which featured the unseen moments of the season, Bookout explained why she felt therapy was a good idea.

While chatting with Dr. Drew Pinsky, who hosted the MTV special, Maci Bookout revealed the following details, via Wetpaint Entertainment.

“We’re gonna start, and I’m very interested to see how that will change things and how Bentley will respond. It’s something I struggle with, trying to balance when to discipline and when to listen because I don’t ever want to discipline when he’s acting out because he needs someone to listen to him.”

Bentley’s father, Ryan Edwards, split from Maci Bookout just a short time after Bentley was born, and while the former couple has struggled to co-parent in the past, they appeared to be in a better place towards the end of filming on Teen Mom OG.

Although Maci Bookout may be struggling as a parent, as most do at times, her home life boyfriend Taylor McKinney is doing quite well. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Teen Mom OG couple purchased their first home together during filming, and luckily, it was just what they wanted. While the couple bickered about cutting corners when it came to the home early on in Teen Mom OG, they eventually found the perfect place for themselves and their family.

During a Teen Mom OG: Featured Moment, Maci Bookout gushed over her dream home.

“Our house is exactly what we were looking for. Luckily, we really didn’t have to compromise too much on our wants and needs. What we got was really what we were looking for. My hopes for our future in the house is just that we don’t grow out of it too fast, we continue to like it, or love it, as much as we do now. I have a tendency to get over things really quickly, so I’m hoping I stay content with it for a few years at least.”

Maci Bookout and McKinney began dating over two years ago and moved in together in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the summer of last year. After just months of living together, the couple discovered they were expecting, and weeks ago, they welcomed their first child, daughter Jayde Carter.
