‘Dance Moms’ Spoilers: It’s A Ziegler Face-Off In ‘Maddie Vs. Mackenzie’
What can fans expect from Tuesday night’s episode of Dance Moms? This one has Abby Lee Miller pitting Maddie Ziegler against her younger sister Mackenzie Ziegler, and the network teases that there may be a shocking outcome ahead. What Dance Moms spoilers are available for this one?
The June 16 episode is simply titled “Maddie vs. Mackenzie.” TV Guide explains that the two will have to compete against one another doing their solos in the same age category in this week’s competition. While Kenzie gets to focus on an acro jazz piece, something that is certainly within her comfort zone, Maddie has to tackle tap, a departure from her usual style on the show.
As if that wasn’t enough pressure, Dance Moms spoilers indicate that Abby Lee Miller uses a guest choreographer to teach the dancers a new piece in a style they’re not confident in doing. Choreographer Travis Payne will work with the Abby Lee Dance Company gals to teach them a voguing routine. Based on the Dance Moms spoiler preview for this episode, it looks like there is a lot of apprehension and tension over this dance, as the moms feel it doesn’t end up feeling like an ALDC piece, and the girls ultimately don’t feel prepared.
There are three solos in the competition this week, with JoJo getting an opportunity, in addition to Maddie and Mackenzie’s solos. As the Dance Moms spoiler Wikia page points out, this will be the first time in years that Maddie and Mackenzie have had to compete directly against one another. Plus, Maddie’s new video with Sia was set to debut during this week of filming. Can the ALDC girls impress Payne and Miller?
The girls competed at the Center Stage Dance Competition in Anaheim, California for this episode, and it looks like things went well. Dance Moms spoilers indicate that the group dance, titled “Beautiful Bizarre,” took second place. How about that face-off between the Ziegler ladies?
It seems that Mackenzie will take top honors in the junior division with her “Sink or Swim” jazz afro piece, but Maddie’s tap “These Boots Were Made for Walkin'” performance takes second place. JoJo Siwa has a solo as well, and her jazz performance titled “Rebel Without a Cause” takes third. The rankings are said to be in those positions in both the junior and overall categories.
Of course, there will be drama between Abby Lee Miller and the moms at some point, and it looks like there may be some tension among the moms as discussion of the Sia video pops up. Not everybody was in love with this latest piece, and many can imagine that Melissa might get a bit defensive about this.
