Lyme Disease Update: Yolanda Foster Shares ‘Health Journey’ With Fans

As her Lyme disease battle continues, Yolanda Foster remains active on Instagram. In her latest post, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a few words of wisdom with her many fans.

On June 15, along with a photo, which read, “I was born to be real, not to be perfect,” Foster wrote, “Note to self……. #MyHealthJourney.”

Over the weekend, Foster revealed to fans that two of her children, Gigi and Anwar, were with her at her Malibu home. She also shared a family photo with fans.

Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, and ever since, she has been fighting to find a cure. Amid filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5, Foster suffered a relapse, which left her unable to read, write, and watch TV. In the months that followed the devastating turn of events, Foster was forced to take a step back from her Bravo duties, and missed out on the majority of filming on the Season 5 reunion. Foster also failed to present fans with weekly blogs, as she was required to do.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Foster’s husband, David, has allegedly been encouraging her to walk away from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to focus solely on her health. According to Radar Online, a source claimed David felt Foster’s co-stars were having a negative impact on her Lyme disease struggles.

“David has told [Yolanda Foster] there is just no way she can return to the show because her condition is just getting worse. The Lyme disease is just ravaging her, and traveling for the international medical treatments is taking a toll. [Yolanda Foster] is extremely weak, and her memory is suffering. David is just being protective because he doesn’t want any of the ladies to use her illness against her, as he knows those women are vicious.”

While David reportedly wants his wife to take a break from Bravo cameras, it may not happen. As the site also noted, Foster believes the show is a great platform for her to raise awareness for Lyme disease, which will hopefully lead to a cure.

“It will break [Yolanda Foster]’s heart if she can’t be on RHOBH because she wants to use the platform to raise awareness about [Lyme disease].”

Foster has been chronicling her Lyme disease battle with fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since Season 3.
