WWE News: Huge ‘WWE 2K16’ Update, Finn Balor Confirmed For Largest Roster Ever

WWE 2K16 is set to come out in October of this year, and the details are starting to come out regarding the highly-anticipated game. Several weeks ago, the Inquisitrreported that a game mode involving Stone Cold Steve Austin was in development. Jim Ross, former-WWE announcer, is already confirmed for announcing duties for the game mode.

Aside from the featured-game mode in WWE 2K video games, it’s the roster that always gets the WWE Universe. The last few years, the WWE 2K game developers told the WWE fans that they were the biggest rosters to date. Each year, that changed, and WWE 2K16 will reportedly have the biggest roster ever.

Here is where the big news comes into play. It is E3 week in the video game world, so 2K developers released an update for WWE 2K16. According to WWE.com, six WWE superstars are already confirmed for the game, including the WWE’s most-popular WWE NXT superstar, Finn Balor.

“2K today announced the first six roster members in WWE 2K16, the forthcoming release in the flagship WWE video game franchise. Poised to offer the largest playable roster in WWE games history, WWE 2K16 will include a variety of talent, including WWE SuperstarsSeth Rollins™, Daniel Bryan®, Dean Ambrose™ and Bad News Barrett™, WWE Diva Paige™ and NXT® Superstar Finn Bálor™. Artwork depicting the roster members is currently on display from June 16-18, 2015 in 2K’s booth, #1001 in the South Hall, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. Additional announcements for WWE 2K16 are expected within the coming weeks.”

WWE 2K16 just got infinitely more popular with their addition of Finn Balor into the game. Regarding the other WWE superstars and divas, it was the WWE NXT crowd that got the video game players clamoring. Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and others will also be wanted for the game.

As for how many WWE NXT stars will be in the game, perhaps that will get announced at E3. Of course, every WWE fan has their wish list for E3 week. What do the WWE fans want to see? WWE 2K15 was a huge success, which was capped off with their WWE NXT career mode.

Instead of getting a storyline mode that highlighted WWE 2K15, the Stone Cold Steve Austin-themed Attitude Era mode will steal the show this fall. Even still, it looks like Finn Balor’s involvement in the game is what will get the WWE fans to buy the game immediately upon release.
