The Rock Channels ‘Fast & Furious,’ Hits Vehicle And Gains A Friend?

The Rock may have starred in one too many Fast & Furious films. Recently, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared a story on his Instagram account, detailing an incident that left a car with a broken side mirror. Has starring in the street racing action film Fast & Furious gotten to him?

In the post, The Rock started by saying that he had a funny story to share to his followers. The Rock was driving to work one day in his pickup truck when he side swiped another pickup that was parked on the street. Was he driving so furiously to have caused damage to the side mirror of the vehicle? Apparently, it was the contrary.

“I’m driving to set in my pick up truck – music blasting – I’m singing away like I’m having a one man party in my truck – then I hear a loud BANG.”

After hitting the side mirror of the parked vehicle, The Rock made a U-turn, and just as he got out of his vehicle, the owner of the truck he hit happened to be walking back to his pickup.

“I said ‘Sir, is this your truck?’. He stopped and stared at me for a good 5 seconds, looked around his neighborhood, looked back at me and ‘Yes it is. Why?’ I said ‘Well, sorry to tell ya I sideswiped it and knocked the hell outta your mirror and may have done even more damage. You give me your info and I’ll leave you mine and I’ll take care of everything.'”

The man immediately recognized The Rock, but had to ask to confirm. When The Rock answered in the affirmative, the man, Audie Bridges, had a huge smile on his face and said, “Wow, this is gonna be an awesome story!” And just like that, the broken side mirror was forgotten.

The Rock Breaks Side Mirror

The Rock laughed at Bridges’ remark and soon, both men were laughing in the middle of the street.

“I started belly laughing at that, then he started laughing and before you know it we’re both standing in the middle of the street pointing to his mirror and laughing like two ol’ crazy buddies.”

The Rock said that he contacted Bridges a few days after the incident, but Bridges refused to accept the money The Rock was offering to fix the damages, Yahoo reports.

“Life is funny cause you never know who you’re gonna run into… and sure as hell never now who’s truck you’re gonna sideswipe while driving to work.”

The Rock is known for having a kind heart. Just last week, the Inquisitr reported that he allowed a 2-year-old girl visiting the set of his movie, Central Intelligence, think that she was pulling an airplane. You can read more about that story here.
