Khloe Kardashian Pays Tribute to Fallen ‘Khloe & Lamar’ Friend [Video]
Only hours after posting an uplifting photo captioned “Hawaii, you were great to us! Life is good but even better when you experience it with fantastic people”, Khloe Kardashian posted a black and white photo of a woman crying on her Instagram account. She was paying tribute to Jamie Sangouthai, who died Sunday of an apparent heroin overdose. Jaime was a friend of Kardashian’s and frequent star on her reality show, Khloe & Lamar.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the 37-year-old Sangouthai struggled with addiction issues, which was a frequent subject on Khloe & Lamar. He was taken to a Los Angeles hospital after someone called 911, reports Hollywood Life, and died in a the hospital on Sunday. Jaime and Lamar had been friends since high school, growing up in Queens, New York together, and Jaime was even in Khloe’s wedding in 2009 as one of Lamar’s best men.
Lamar was partners with Sangouthai in a clothing line called Rich Soil, and when Sangouthai was diagnosed with a digestive disease in 2008, Lamar helped him with his medical expenses. In the past, Jaime was blamed when Lamar relapsed into using drugs again.
Friends and fans have been posting their condolences on social media, with many of Khloe’s fans shocked at the news of Lamar’s friend’s passing. Khloe and Lamar’s friend Malika Hagg, who is always with Khloe, posted a photo on Instagram with Jamie, Lamar and Khloe. The photo is captioned: “Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed… RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll.”
Khloe is clearly shocked by the news of Jaime’s death, and took to social media as well to show her grief.
“Life doesn’t get easier but I promise you that life will make you stronger,” Khloe posted to her Instagram account, captioning a picture of a black-and-white cartoon of a woman crying, reports E! News. Fans left thousands of comments to console Khloe and Lamar.

The reality star also took to Twitter with the news and to mourn her friend. “When does it stop? RIP Jamie Sangouthai”, Khloe wrote on her Twitter account Sunday afternoon about Jaime, including a broken heart emoji. She also posted other tweets using just the broken heart emoji.
It’s rumored that Khloe and Lamar might reconcile, although there has been no definitive news from the reality stars.
