Prince George Balcony Debut: Waves To Crowds, Wears Prince William’s Outfit [Photos]
Prince George — Kate Middleton and Prince William’s firstborn — wore daddy’s outfit for his balcony debut at Buckingham Palace. During the outing, the adorable, third in line to the throne prince took the time to wave at his royal subjects cheering from the Mall.
It was the Trooping the Color — Queen Elizabeth II’s official birthday celebration and a Royal tradition — and Prince George was joined by his mom, Duchess Kate — in her first public appearance after giving birth to Princess Charlotte. Prince George was held by dad, Prince William, who was in full regimentals for the occasion.
Despite the entirety of the Royal family being present for the Red Arrows fly over, leaving a trail of red, white and blue in the sky, the main attraction for those watching was to see the priceless reactions of the young Prince George from the balcony. It appears that Kate has lost the spotlight to her one-year-old son as all eyes were on the little one while he sat comfortably in his father’s arms.
Prince George was wearing the same outfit Prince William used on a similar occasion when he was about the same age and was held by his father, Prince Charles, while watching the proceedings. Both shared the same curiosity as they watched the crowds gathered in The Mall to wave at the royals.
Queen Elizabeth II was seen smiling widely, not because of her great-grandson’s antics, but because of what was happening in the sky and below the balcony. However, most people were interested in watching Prince George wave and all his adorable facial expressions.
Prince George wasn’t done with his public appearances this past weekend and a day after the formal balcony events, he was seen behaving like any toddler would. Kate Middleton was seen playing with the young boy while Prince William played a polo match with George’s uncle, Prince Harry.
While Prince George delighted everyone with his cuteness, there were no signs of his sister, Princess Charlotte, who was born on May 2.
