Country Star Jake Owen Engaged to Lacey Buchanan

Country singing star Jake Owen is engaged to girlfriend Lacey Buchanan. Owen popped the big question to Buchanan in front of friends and family during the Citrus Bowl at Vero Beach High on Saturday night. Owen attended Vero Beach before going on to become a well respected, top-selling country singer.

Owen was performing his hit Don’t Think I Can’t Love You when he brought Buchanan up on the stage for what looked like would be a dance. Owen then got down on one knee and popped the question.

After she said yes Owen said to his new fiance and the crowd:

“You’re probably wondering where your ring is, right?” He then referenced the lyrics to his song, “I just said I can’t buy you a big diamond ring or a big old house on the hill, but I promise you I’ll love you forever and ever and ever.”

Owen then continued to sing the song to Lacey. His new fiance isn’t a stranger to his career having appeared in both “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Eight Second Ride.”

After the song ended Jake Owen and Lacey Buchanan shared a hug and kiss in front of the crowd.

After he popped the question and completed his night at Vero Beach High the country singer took to Twitter to proclaim his happiness with his fiances decision.

“I’m a happy man. Life is complete.”

It’s not too often that we get to report of a celebrity proposal at a high school, it seems almost fitting for a country singer though.
