Epic Games Working On A PC-Exclusive Game

Believe it or not, but there was actually a point in time when Epic Games was a PC-oriented company. Much to the disappointment of its PC fanbase, that changed with the launch of the Gears of War series; while a few of its titles made their way to the PC, Epic Games largely shifted their focus to other platforms, namely the Xbox 360.

While that may not change anytime soon, at the “Epic Games: Past, Present and Future” panel held on Saturday at PAX East, Epic Games president Mike Capps suggested that the studio was working on something that he says will likely be PC-exclusive.

“We might be working on a PC-only title,” Capps teased at the panel.

Cliff Bleszinski, creative lead at Epic Games, picked up where Capps left off, offering even more confirmation. “Let me say that again: we are working on a PC game,” he said.

Unfortunately, neither Bleszinski nor Capps were willing to offer any additional details beyond that, so exactly what that project is will have to remain a mystery for awhile. Currently, Epic Games is known to be working on Fortnite, as well as the next generation of its Unreal Engine which the developer says will be shown this year.
