Tiger Woods Meltdown: Golfer Kicks Club, Shoots 75 At Masters [Video]

The 2012 Masters tournament was supposed to the setting for Tiger Woods return to glory. But it doesn’t look like Woods is in line for his fifth green jacket. Woods had a minor meltdown on the 16th hole and is now 8 strokes behind the leaders.

Woods started the tournament with a decent day 1 and managed to finish with an even par. The second day, however, saw the former champion hit a couple of bogies during a frustration round of golf. On the 16th hole, Woods let his emotions get the best of him as he sent his shot into a bunker. Woods threw his club down on the ground and then gave it a good kick.

CBS analyst Nick Faldo said on air:

“I think we can safely say Tiger has lost his game… and his mind.”

ABC reports that Tiger’s 75 was good enough to make the cut so he’ll have a shot at redemption today. He’ll have to have two great days of golf, however, if he wants to make up the 8 stroke lead that separate him from another green jacket.

Here’s a video of Tiger Woods meltdown.
