Kim Kardashian, NPR, and Kim Jong Un sounds like the lead-up to an Ellen DeGeneres joke. But Kim K of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame decided it was time to pay a call on National Public Radio (NPR). The result of Kim’s interview included her insights on wide-ranging topics from Kim Jong to her pregnancy to giving Kim a chance to promote her selfies book Selfish.

Although Kim tends to focus her view of the world on the areas devoted to entertainment, fashion, and other celebrities, NPR questioned the reality TV personality about Kim Jong.

Well, sort of. Because the Q & A (question and answer) was more like J & A (joke and laughter).

“All right. Back in February, Kim Jong Un released a pamphlet with 300 new slogans for North Korea, including which of these – A) North Korea, the only country in the world…(LAUGHTER) B) let us turn ours into a country of mushrooms, C) nothing – it’s what’s for dinner.”

Kim’s answer was not surprising. When told the answer was A, she was honest.

“I don’t even know what that means,” confessed Kardashian on NPR.

But because the conversation really was intended to provide publicity for Kardashian’s book, most of it explained her methodology on the solemn topic of selfies. As well as to duck face or not duck face.

“Well, if you notice that at the beginning of the book, there’s more – no, towards the middle – there’s a lot of duck face going on. In recent years, I’m like too cool for duck face, so that doesn’t happen. But, you know, it’s just really – I mean, I get it. It’s like a bunch of selfies; it’s silly. But it’s all my memories, and I’ve been taking photos – not only of myself – but of just my environment and where I’m at and my friends. I thought it was just – you know, selfies are such a really, like, popular thing right now. And I thought it would be really cool to put ’em all in a book.”

Trying to make it more topical, Kim also discussed her highly publicized pregnancy. Boy? Girl? Twins? In response to the rumors, Kardashian provided a key piece of information to the NPR questioners.

“We actually haven’t told anyone the sex. So I heard that we’re having a boy. I heard that we’re having twins. I heard that I’m not even carrying my own baby. I’ve heard so many things and most of that information is not true.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Kim has had some stress about weight gain and fashion during her pregnancy number one and baby bump number two. Shown on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she was a world away from the typical topics discussed on NPR as Kim discussed such solemn topics as whether to double her Spanx and when to resign herself to the horrors of flat shoes.

In addition to the key topics of the Selfish book, Kim Jong Un, and pregnancy, Kardashian informed NPR about a surprising twist in her relationship with Kanye West, reported Mashable.

Kanye apparently is jealous of North West’s toys.

“It’s been this big fight where every time I get my daughter something, it could be the smallest toy or especially when I got her playset, which was her Christmas present, my husband wonders, you know, how come we can’t get a basketball court?” confessed Kim of Kanye’s jealousy over their daughter’s toys. “I’ve been ignoring his request for like two years.”
