Education.com Takes Nearly $10 Million

Talk about a good domain name: Education.com has just secured $9.75 million in new funding to further develop its site. The cash comes from Series B funding led by California Technology Ventures.

Education.com — as its name suggests — delivers content geared toward parents of school-aged kids. Offerings range from getting children ready for kindergarten to dealing with bullies and finding the best school.

The service, headquartered in California’s Redwood City, launched in 2006.
