Scott Brown’s Campaign Has Raised $3.4 Million This Year

United States Senator Scott Brown’s campaign claims they have raised $3.4 million within the first three months of the year, which leaves the campaign with a total of roughly $15 million.

According to Brown’s campaign, 71% of the donors in the first quarter came from Massachusetts.

Elizabeth Warren, Republican Scott Brown’s Democratic opponent, has likely raised more money as her campaign pulled in $2.5 million from Massachusetts earlier in the week and she earlier raised more out of state.

Scott Brown, who won “America’s Sexiest Man” in Cosmopolitan magazine at the age of 22 while studying law at Boston College, started in the lead with $12.9 compared to Warren’s $6.1 million at the end of 2011’s republic reporting deadline, however, it appears as if Warren may pull ahead as she has received campaign contributions at an incredible rate after entering the race in September. She raised $5.7 million, compared to Brown’s $3.2 million, in the last three months of 2011.

This Senate race is currently on track to becoming one of the most expensive across the United States.

Scott Philip Brown was born September 12, 1959 and has served as a member of the Massachusetts General Court in both the State Senate as well as the State House of Representatives.

John Cook, Brown’s campaign finance director, was quoted by The Boston Glove having said:

“The people of Massachusetts appreciate the independent, pro-jobs perspective that Senator Brown brings to each issue and they have rewarded him with yet another strong quarter of fundraising. We will once again be out-raised by the Hollywood elites and out-of-state liberals that are backing our opponent, but we will have resources we need to run our race.”

Who do you think will come out ahead, will it be Elizabeth Warren or Scott Brown?
