Kate Upton Gives Fans Birthday Present, Sharing Sexy Shot From V Magazine Swimsuit Spread

Kate Upton celebrated her birthday on June 10 — the busty supermodel-turned-actress is now the ripe old age of 23 — and to mark the occasion, she gave her 2.2 million Instagram followers a present, posting a steamy shot from a photo shoot for the high-fashion publication V Magazine.

And while Kate Upton didn’t pose in her birthday suit, she at least posed in her birthday swimsuit, a cleavage-baring, white one-piece from Ralph Lauren.

Even though the shot showed Upton in a swimsuit — the exact type of shot that made her famous as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model — she wasn’t exactly on a beach. Actually, the shot showed Upton on a fake beach, in front of an obviously plastic model of a palm tree, which was why she captioned the Instagram photo, “You know just standing by a fake palm tree.”

Here’s the shot at this link, for Upton-ites who might have missed it on her birthday.

And here is another shot at this link in what appears to be the same swimsuit, from the V Magazine fashion spread by photog Sebastian Faena.

Swimming and swimsuits seem to be a pivotal element of Kate Upton’s life lately. She was recently spotted on the set of the upcoming film The Layover, being fitted for a turquoise one-piece swimsuit.

Not to be confused with CNN‘s Anthony Bourdain series of the same name, The Layover is reported to center on “a pair of lifelong friends who decide to avoid their problems by taking a vacation only to find that their plane has been rerouted due to a hurricane warning,” according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.

Fans can expect some aquatic action from Upton in the movie, in which she co-stars with True Detective sexpot Alexandra Daddario. One of Upton’s stunt doubles in the film was two-time Canadian Olympic diver Eryn Bulmer.

Bulmer — who is 16 years older than Kate Upton — represented Canada at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and then again in Sydney, Australia, at the 2000 Olympic Games.

She described her job doubling for Kate Upton as “some basic diving stuff that was fun to do.”

The Layover is directed by, and co-stars, actor William H. Macy, best known for his roles on the Showtime TV series Shameless, and the Coen Brothers’ cult-classic film Fargo.

The Layover, set to be released in 2016, will be the first big movie role for Kate Upton since she starred alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in last year’s hit comedy The Other Woman.
