Teresa Giudice’s Lawyer Claims Nothing Has Been Seized From Her Home

Teresa Giudice is currently incarcerated, but just like she was before she entered prison, she’s been highly talked about in recent months. Since entering into a 15-month prison term earlier this year, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has been targeted with several rumors, which her lawyer has continuously denied.

On June 10, Teresa Giudice’s attorney, James J. Leonard, addressed reports of her belongings being seized from her New Jersey home during an interview wih PEOPLE Magazine.

“Back in December, before [Teresa Giudice] went to prison on Jan. 5, she and I met with attorneys from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Newark, as well as investigators from the U.S. Attorney’s Financial Litigation Unit. While the government may have recently filed these orders, it was signed and agreed upon in late December and the only thing that has happened since then is that she has made payments in accordance with that agreement. We reached agreements that same day in December on how the restitution would be paid back…Nothing has been seized from her and nothing will be seized from her.”

Teresa Giudice will reportedly be forced to hand over a number of items in order to make good on her debt. She will also be forced to give the government 25 percent of her Bravo earnings for upcoming seasons of the show.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, The Real Housewives of New Jersey season seven production has reportedly been delayed in order to include Teresa Giudice, who won’t be released from custody until later this year. According to a Radar Online report, Bravo is insistent on capturing Teresa Giudice’s prison release on film.

Earlier this week, a source told the site that none of the cast of the Bravo reality series have signed contracts for the upcoming seventh season. However, that wasn’t because the show was in jeopardy. Instead, claimed the source, Bravo had pushed back production, as well as negotiations.

“Filming has been pushed from the summer and won’t be beginning until late September, early October… Without [Teresa Giudice] there just isn’t a lot going on with the women. With her on board, cameras would film Joe’s final days with the family as he prepares to begin his 41 month prison sentence.”

Teresa Giudice is also not currently in a contract with Bravo, will is expected to sign on in the coming months.

Teresa Giudice will be released on December 23, at which point her husband, Joe, will begin serving his prison term.
