‘Chicago P.D.’ Stars Sophia Bush And Jesse Lee Soffer Split [Video]
Celebrity romances don’t usually last too long in Hollywood, and the tryst between Sophia Bush and Jesse Lee Soffer has come to an end. The two actors, who split this week, co-star on the NBC’s Chicago P.D.
“Sophia and Jesse just didn’t work out,” an insider close to the couple said of the split, reports the Daily Mail. “They dated for about a year and then grew apart. They’re still friends though.”

When they first started dating, the pair was quiet, although word got out quickly.
“[Sophia and Jesse Lee Soffer] been secretly dating for over three months, but only their close friends knew,” a source close to the recently split couple told E! News. “Jesse is super-sweet and they are really cute together.”
Another source reportedly told E! News that before the split, Jesse Lee Soffer and Sophia Bush were “super-close” and spent “every waking moment together.”
Television aficionados have wondered if Sophia is the next Mariska Hargitay. Audiences loved her on One Tree Hill, and now the slightly older audience can see Bush in Chicago P.D.
When asked by the Hollywood Reporter about how she’s compared to Hargitay, Sophie said, “She’s the coolest. She was joking with me the first day that we shot our first crossover of P.D. and SVU, and she went, ‘So should I hand her the torch at the beginning of the scene or the end?’ We were like crying laughing. She is the funniest, most amazing woman. We’ll see. As of this moment, I can’t imagine not wanting to do this job.”
In a March interview with Good Housekeeping, Bush revealed she prefers to stay at home and cook a good meal.
“My family is mostly Italian, so if I could survive on bread, pasta and olive oil for the rest of my life, I would. Brunch is my specialty; I’ll make really amazing thick-cut French toast, a giant frittata – and mimosas!”

She’s also a simple person, confessing she loves “being home in Los Angeles, sleeping in, and then taking my three dogs on a hike or going to a farmers’ market.”
In 2012, before she started dating Jesse Lee Soffer, she told E! News, “I’m such a sucker for love, and I believe in it, and I always want it to win. I don’t think you can really, truly be the partner you want to be until you know on an absolute level that you are a complete person on your own.”
Both Sophia Bush and Jesse Lee Soffer are staying mum on the split though they’re reportedly still friends.
