Is Grey Anatomy’s New Season Going To Be That Good?

There has been a lot of speculation and excitement about the upcoming Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy on ABC. Besides all the frenzy, other fans are beginning to ask themselves if the show is going to be that good? After the death of Derek Shepard, most fans are heartbroken, and many people are speculating the death of the show after Derek was killed

Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, meanwhile, released a statement lamenting the loss of Derek, praising Dempsey’s “meaningful” performance and teasing a whole new world, again, for Meredith, who almost a year ago said a (non-fatal) goodbye to BFF Cristina (Sandra Oh).

“Derek Shepherd is and will always be an incredibly important character — for Meredith, for me and for the fans. I absolutely never imagined saying goodbye to our ‘McDreamy.’ Patrick Dempsey’s performance shaped Derek in a way that I know we both hope became a meaningful example — happy, sad, romantic, painful and always true — of what young women should demand from modern love. His loss will be felt by all. Now, Meredith and the entire Grey’s Anatomy family are about to enter uncharted territory as we head into this new chapter of her life. The possibilities for what may come are endless. As Ellis Grey would say: the carousel never stops turning.”

Jerrika Hinton, one of the cast members of Grey’s Anatomy, said it’s about time for some fine-tuning.

“I think it involves a lot of recalibrating. You mourn the loss and unfortunately in both of those cases, internally as a family, we knew it was going to happen, and we got to have our grieving process with the people while they were there,” the actress, who plays the role of Stephanie in the series, told Vibe.

According to Christian Today, actor Jason Winston George, who plays Ben in the show, has been promoted as series regular for the twelfth season.

George broke the news of his promotion on Twitter, where he thanked the show creator for the good news.

Shonda Rhimes the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, known for her excellence in writing and good business acumen, was praised by one of her characters, Kerry Washington of Scandal, on OWN TV. “When I look at our cast and how much we love each other, its not magic, but it happened because Shonda vetted the actors like they were going to be in the administration. She did background checks on everybody,” she told Oprah Winfrey about how she learned some hard lessons in the past with the selection of characters. She is known for her ability to keep her writing incredibly sharp and finds the soul in a character and make it that way.

Fans all over the world are really looking forward to Season 12.
