WWE News: Vince McMahon Pushing For Breakup Between Rusev And Lana In Real Life, Not Just On Screen
In a word, you could say that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is insane. Sometimes, his genius shows in an insane way, but other times he can come off as legit senile. This is now highlighted exponentially with McMahon’s latest move with WWE Superstar Rusev and WWE Diva Lana. We’ve heard for some time that Vince likes Lana a lot and feels she could be the face of his Diva Division. As a result, she has been pushed to the moon as a face, and her run won’t be stopping any time soon.
In order for her to be a babyface, she had to break up with The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev. It turns out, Lana and Rusev are a real-life couple. This was not something we just saw on screen. This could be why they had amazing chemistry and came off quite believable as a duo. However, often times managers and wrestlers go in different directions. This does not mean that a real-life couple has to break up. Don’t tell Vince McMahon this, however.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon is trying to break up Rusev and Lana in real life. Observer suggests that Vince forced an on-screen break up and new pairing in order to help facilitate a real-life breakup between the two. It is said that Vince feels that someone like Rusev shouldn’t get a girl like Lana.
Vince feels that most likely Dolph Ziggler, who is said to be single, is a better match for Lana. Plus, they work very well as an on-screen couple when Lana is a babyface. So, in one of the most petty things possible, Vince McMahon is literally trying to break up a WWE couple just because he feels they aren’t right for the other. Not out of them having fights or no chemistry, but because he looks at Rusev as a person who doesn’t have the looks, among other things, that should attract Lana.
To most, this would be seen as a good sign. It makes many other men out there believe that they don’t have to look like John Cena to get a girl to be attracted to them. Sometimes, it is not about someone’s body. Rather, their personality and the way you click with them is what makes a relationship work.
Regardless, Vince McMahon is apparently thinking that Lana will fall for Dolph Ziggler since a pairing in wrestling and in Hollywood often times leads to a romance between the two involved. While it is not right to think that two people who are really in love should be torn apart because of an old man’s thoughts, it is what WWE is doing due to Vince’s wishes. However, any strong couple can last the doubters and those who try to break them up. At some point, someone has to tell McMahon that he cannot control everything that happens inside his company. Personal matters shouldn’t be up to him.
