Jill Duggar’s Husband Leaves Walmart Job: What Does This Mean For Jill And Derick Dillard?

Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard, is no longer working at Walmart. However, 19 Kids and Counting fans shouldn’t start getting too concerned — it sounds like he still has a means of supporting his small family.

“The Duggar Family News: Life is not all pickles and hairspray” Facebook page recently shared the news that Jill Duggar’s husband has left his job as a tax accountant for a local Walmart branch in Arkansas. Pickles and Hairspray posted a screenshot of an auto response to a message that was sent to Derick Dillard’s Walmart email address, and it says that Derick is no longer working for the company.

“Hello, I have recently accepted a position outside of Walmart and am no longer working for the company,” the email reads. You can see an image of the auto response below (names, telephone numbers, and email addresses have been redacted).

Perhaps the email is further evidence that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are about to head overseas. As the Inquisitr previously reported, there are rumors that the couple will soon be heading to Nepal to do mission work. In a sneak peek for the next season of 19 Kids and Counting, Derick and Jill were shown informing the Duggar family that they had some “special news” to share, and a very somber Jim Bob responded to their announcement by telling the couple that he’ll be praying for them.

Because of the ugly aftermath of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal, 19 Kids and Counting fans may not get to see Jill and Derick sharing the “special news” in question with their family — it’s possible that their TLC reality series will be canceled. However, a source recently claimed to have knowledge of the filming of next season of 19 Kids, and this source told the Daily Mail that the sneak peek clip shows Jill Duggar informing her family that she and Derick Dillard are heading to Nepal for a mission trip. The country is near and dear to the couple’s hearts because it’s where they officially started courting, and they allegedly want to do something to help victims of the earthquake that devastated Nepal back in April.

However, the Nepal trip is just an unverified rumor as of right now. There’s also a possibility that Jill Duggar’s husband simply left his Walmart job for another accounting position that would require less interaction with people. Early last month, Radar Online reported that Derick’s Walmart coworkers were seriously stressing him out by peppering him questions about Jill and their new baby. They were annoying him so much that he decided to start eating his lunch in his car.

“Poor guy — he’s up all night with the baby, then he has to go to work and have his co-workers asking him all kinds of questions about his wife, their newborn baby, the rest of the family and the TV show,” an insider told Radar. “He can barely get any work done!”

It’s possible that Derick ditched his job simply because he couldn’t bear the thought of facing his coworkers now that Josh Duggar’s dark secret has become public knowledge. Perhaps Derick landed a new accounting job far away from Jill’s family in Arkansas, and maybe the “special news” that he and Jill shared in the 19 Kids and Counting sneak peek was that they would be moving in the near future.
