What Is Is Like Living In The Playboy Mansion? Holly Madison And Kendra Wilkinson Speak Out

Former girlfriends of Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner have spoken out in the recent years about what life was really like in the infamous Playboy Mansion. Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson were two of Hugh Hefner’s official girlfriends, and the subjects of the reality television series The Girls Next Door. The hit reality show ran from 2005 to 2009 and followed the lives of Hefner’s three live-in girlfriends. However, after their split with Hef, at least two of his former girlfriends are speaking out about the drugs, sex, and disgusting state of the Playboy mansion in tell-all books.

Holly Madison, the No. 1 girlfriend of Hugh Hefner for years, recently released a book, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures And Cautionary Tales Of A Former Playboy Bunny, the former Playboy bunny recounts life in the infamous Playboy Mansion. Holly says that she first met Hugh Hefner when she was a 21-year-old Hooters waitress. The former bunny claims that Hefner offered her drugs during their first encounter, claiming “they used to call these pills thigh openers.” Madison says she declined the drugs but that formed a relationship with Hefner and moved into his home as one of his seven official girlfriends.

Madison says that once in the mansion, she was immediately put off by the yellow carpet that was stained with dog urine. She says that each of the 29-rooms in the mansion were stocked with “trays of Johnson’s Baby Oil, Vaseline, and Kleenex” and that there was constant “mean girl-ing” in the home. Holly says that she went from being a formerly confident person to constantly doubting herself due to criticism from other girls and Hefner himself.

“Prior to moving into the Mansion, I’d been a fairly confident person, but it didn’t take long for my self-worth to crumble.”

She says that Hugh once spat in her face after she cut her hair to his disapproval. He said the cut made her look “old, hard and cheap.” In addition to worrying about keeping Hugh happy with her appearance, Madison says that she was constantly battling other bunnies in the mansion. She says that mean girls would steal her clothes.

Madison isn’t the only bunny who has something negative to say about their time in the Playboy Mansion. Kendra Wilkinson, one of Hef’s three official girlfriends from 2005 to 2009, says that she was just 18-years-old when she moved into the house and began her relationship with the then-78-year-old man. In her personal memoirs, the former Playboy bunny says that upon moving into the mansion, she didn’t know that sex was part of “the job.” In her book, Sliding Into Home, Wilkinson says that she had to be very drunk or high to have sex with Hefner.

“I was usually very very drunk doing those evenings, I tended not to care about much until the next day. I had to be very drunk or smoke l lots of weed to survive those nights. At about the minute mark, I pulled away and it was done. It was like a job. Clock in, clock out. It’s not like I enjoyed having sex with him.”

She says her first sexual experiment took place in Hef’s bedroom in front of seven other girls during a mansion party. Though she says she did not enjoy the sex, she did note that she “just wanted to party” and that it was “so much fun.”

“I just wanted to party. And I had a d*** good time. It was so much fun.”
