Justin Bieber’s latest award might be for Most Surprising Luke Bryan Fan.

The 21-year-old superstar is currently over in Hong Kong. But he caused more than a few dropped jaws at Wednesday’s 2015 CMT Music Awards, when he reprised his very well-received turn in the Carpool Karaoke part of host James Corden’s The Late Late Show, in a pre-recorded skit with a country twist.

Before Bryan won and accepted his Male Video of the Year award for “Play It Again,” the British funnyman and Canadian singer kicked off a cast of a thousand cameos by gushing about their love for Bryan in a Guuber. That’s a Nashville take on the Uber car service.

“Why are you going to the CMT Music Awards?” a confused Corden asked a Fedora-clad Bieber.

“Want me to be honest with you? I love Luke Bryan,” Bieber admitted.

When Corden replied, “Are you serious! I love Luke Bryan,” Bieber abandoned all restraint and yelled, “He’s so awesome! He’s hot. He’s hot stuff.”

The bantering ramped up with Corden enthusing, “I get lost in his eyes like they’re pools of the ocean,” before the pair jammed a rendition of their “favorite” Bryan song, “Country Girl (Shake It for Me.)”

In the background as Bieber and Corden carpooled away, some audience booing could be heard. Amazing that it’s always the males? However, plenty of audience laughter was also heard during the broadcast.

Bryan acknowledged his famous fans before his acceptance speech, joking, “Yeah, Bieber loves me.”

Other stars in the celebrity-packed skit included co-hosts Brittany Snow and Erin Andrews. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steven Tyler, Alan Jackson, Tom Arnold, Hunter Hayes, and the well preserved Rick Springfield also featured.

Bryan was also nominated for Video of the Year for “Play It Again.” But that award went to Comeback Queen Carrie Underwood, who officially returned to work from maternity leave with her appearance at the CMT awards.

Underwood took home three fan-voted trophies on the night — including the overall Video of the Year for “Something In The Water.”

In her acceptance speech, Carrie said: “This is such an amazing blessing. I have the best fans in the world. I really do.”
