Jennifer Lopez Concert Backlash Heats Up: J Lo Concert Investigation Opened

The Jennifer Lopez concert backlash over her May 29 concert in Morocco is not going away. In fact, things are only progressing further. According to the Huffington Post, a lawsuit has been filed against the singer over the concert.

Lopez performed on stage during the 10-day long Mawazine World Rhythms International Music Festival on May 29, and she put on her usual performance, but that performance was just too hot for some. According to a previous Inquisitr report, Lopez’s performance immediately stirred up controversy, but that controversy has now evolved into legal action.

An educational group in the country filed a lawsuit against the singer because her performance “disturbed public order and tarnished women’s honor and respect.” After the lawsuit was filed, Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane asked for an investigation into the concert because it was “sexually suggestive” and contained “disgraceful scenes.”

The concert was aired on national television in the country, and the content described goes against the country’s audiovisual law. According to Daily Mail, the concert was on a five-second delay, but that was not good enough.

Benkirane has said that someone should have stopped the broadcast of the concert on May 29. The Prime Minister has called for legal action against those responsible. If convicted, Lopez could face two years in prison. Footage of the entire concert, as it aired on Moroccan television, has been posted on YouTube.

Lopez does not seem too concerned about the lawsuit or investigation though. According to another Daily Mail report, Lopez started production of her new NBC cop drama, Shades of Blue, last Thursday. The singer shared a selfie with the entire cast on her Instagram at the wrap of the first day of shooting.

Lopez has continued to film scenes for the upcoming series this week. The news outlet shared photos of Lopez on set taken on Monday. People Magazine also shared a photo from the set, and this photo is raising some eyebrows.

Casper Smart stopped by the New York City set of her television series, and the press caught Jennifer Lopez kissing him. The pair have managed to keep people guessing about their relationship. Rumors have tied them back together since their split last summer, but Lopez has said she is single.

A friend spoke to People Magazine about Lopez’s relationship with Smart.

“Just because it ended didn’t mean they had to be enemies. She cares for him very much. He’s a good guy. He’s really a very good, stand-up guy.”

Jennifer Lopez did take a break from filming to attend the Tony Awards this weekend. She was one of the presenters on stage during the event. Hollywood Life shared about Lopez’s red carpet look for the awards show held on Sunday night.

“Jennifer Lopez, 45, loves dressing sexy, but for the 2015 Tony Awards she switched up her style in an elegant Valentino ball gown — and she looked looked like a shining star! All eyes were on JLo as she arrived at Radio City Music Hall in NYC on June 7, clad in a blue dress that featured a star pattern in gold sequins — and it was one of our favorite red carpet moments of the night.”

At the age of 45, Lopez is still one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. She does not like to hide her looks or her body, and that is a part of the problem with her concert performance in Morocco. Lopez does move a lot on stage, and her movements are made in a way to show her body off.

To some, her movements are suggestive and provocative. Here in the United States, her concert would be considered normal. Her fans know exactly what to expect when she performs on stage.

Jennifer Lopez has worked hard to keep her body in shape. She revealed some of her workout regimen to People Magazine.

“I eat right and exercise! I put in the work like everyone else. You have to switch it up to keep your body and yourself fresh. We’re all human. I don’t think you should beat yourself up if you make a mistake or if you have a potato chip. Everyone wants a cookie or a piece of cake or fried chicken every once in while. It’s not about that. It’s about consistently and always trying to be better and trying to do good.”
