Pregnant Woman Found: Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther, Missing Pregnant Woman, Found

A pregnant woman, found nearly a week after she went missing, is now safe and is being treated at a hospital.

Channel 9 was the first to share the news that Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther had been found. Deputies said Bradshaw Crowther used her ATM card Monday at a CVS in Boone, North Carolina. They later found her at a nearby gas station in her Mazda MPV.

It had been six days since anyone had seen Carrie. She was scheduled to have a c-section last Tuesday, due to a high-risk pregnancy, but vanished merely an hour before the surgery, leaving her family in a state of panic.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Carrie’s daughter Lauren Lusk, had been staying with her mother the weekend prior to her scheduled birth. On Tuesday morning, Lusk went to the gas station to get fuel for the 40-mile trip to Charlotte. When she returned, her mother was no where to be found.

“I needed to get gas and she told me to leave and be back in 15 minutes, and we were gone maybe seven or eight minutes, and when we got back she was gone,” Lusk told Channel 9. “When I got back, she was gone. The lights in the house were off, the door was unlocked,” she added.

Bradshaw-Crowther had a condition which would require her to give birth by cesarean section, making her pregnancy high-risk, and making her family even more concerned. “She seemed nervous obviously, but more towards the end of the pregnancy, she started getting happier about it. The last few weeks, she was really excited,” Lusk said.

While there is still no word as to why Carrie took off, Salisbury police said she seemed to be in good condition when she was found, and cooperated fully with the police.

When she was approached by a deputy, Bradshaw-Crowther reportedly said, “I am Carrie.”

Earlier today, an update was shared on Missing Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther’s Facebook page, letting her friends and family know that she was no longer considered a missing person.

“Carrie’s family has arrived at hospital a short time ago. They are waiting to speak with doctors. Carrie is no longer missing and no updates, regarding condition of her or baby, as yet. As doctors running tests and with her. Family waiting to speak with the doctors. Thank you all, I’m sorry no real details available, yet. We ask if you can please delete missing posters that you may have shared. We will be closing this page (since located safely…for privacy) following family statements in the next day, or two.”

“Please understand that due to HIPPA laws we cannot divulge diagnosis, nor conditions of all. We will, of course, leave that to Carrie and her family to make that decision, when appropriate.”

“Thank you very much for all the prayers and well wishes.”
