Details are thin as I write this, but reports are coming in that Britney Spears suddenly left the stage in the middle of her Vancouver, Canada concert earlier (Wednesday). Without warning, she left after her third song.
The lights went out and there was no indication of whether she was returning or not until about 20 minutes later when an announcer came on the speakers and told the audience that Britney would not return unless they stopped smoking cigarettes and pot around the perimeter of the stage. About 10 minutes afterwards Brit returned and resumed her performance.
Fans at the concert say that after coming back on stage, Brit just didn’t seem to be “Into it.”
Britney Spears is also a smoker herself.

dude wth! I'm sure she'll at least be remembered. The only reason this happened was because ppl were worried about the excessive cigarette and marijuana smoke entering the lighting booth above; i.e. dizzy light board moderators = bad show!!
Way to be a douche about it, I mean really. Good for her, standing up for her and ppl everywheres right to clean air. I hate spending money to go to a concert, and having some a$$ hole sitting near me smoking nonstop. Really. It ruins the show; smokers are gross, smell terrible, and impose their nastiness upon everyone else, and without care.

Was at concert, pretty amazing, until the “smoke event” no idea what that was about Britney – not exactly a Gratfeful Dead concert – people just “dont smoke” to get high at your show sorry. Lots of kids, its a Wed night, only smoke I saw was from your effects – GM did seem to put on the air conditioning after your complaints which just make it cold – great show until the dramatics – quite unnecessary girl – you are a professional, please act like one – no one was smoking in there honey.

Smoke? no one around me was smoking and it rises right? Everyone was disappointed, broke the mood, pretty high on the show until that – shame. Lots of kids and young people there just into the event – didnt see anyone doing anything but enjoying the scene – GM maybe keep the air conditioning on so we dont have to loose our flow – Brit was great until then, seemed to loose it after that – shame, other than that, Brit you dont need the shock value, cut the weird sex scenes, you dont need it, proved you can sing – you are talented, give yourself a break.

I was at the Vancouver concert. Bitch is on crack. Show sucked. Remember her performance at teh VMA's…times that by 1.5 hours and that equals the Circus concert.

I was smoking my lungs out and so was everyone on the floor around us. The only way to endure 80 mins of that pain was to be baked as all hell.
Britney, give it up already. If you can't even croak out more than one song live, you're not worthy of the billing. They had great performers and stage effects, but then again so does Cirque and that's actually entertaining.

sorry bud totally disagree…the fact that she f**king stopped her show after 3 songs it complete BS. ya sure it can be annoying but DEAL with it..she gave us a half a$$ show after she came back i did not pay 140 bucks to watch her move her arms up and down and not even try to hide the fact that she wasnt singing live…the fact that GM had to start playing hockey sound effects to entertain the audience…like seriously get over yourself and stop being such a princess…her life is f**ked up we all know that..i hate spending money on a concert and having the performer WALK OUT after 3 songs…it was total BS…a smoking problem…SHE SMOKES!

“DEAL with it” How exactly? If the dancers couldn't even stomach the smell? I don't blame her/them…one weed smoker can stink up a whole joint, I can't imagine how if thousands of you smoked pot.
Anyways I've heard most people had fun, aside from this annoying incident they loved the concert, and she is definitely not a hasbeen, especially when we are talking about her

Just because you people enjoy smoke doesn't mean the others have to. The performers are on stage and they have to breathe in your smoke. Think how exhausting that must be. Don't put all the blame on Britney either. Her crew could have told her that it was affecting their performance, so she stepped up for them. Yeah, her performance was lacking, but she's getting her feet wet and trying to get back into her comfort zone.

If you guys didn't smell the smoke, then you weren't in my section. I was actually pretty pissed off that someone was smoking weed. It's so disrespectful. I'm glad the concert was stopped for 30 minutes, you people need to get with the program and smoke on your own time. Smoke before you get inside, GM place is a non-smoking building, but I guess you guys can't read from all that weed, must of burned your brains out. Britney should not be blamed at all for leaving the stage, you people need to learn to respect performers. If you want to smoke weed, then you should not go to the britney spears concert. There are kids in there, and people may have asthma. Think about the people around you before you light up. The world does not revolve around you.
