Female Rugby Player Breaks Nose, Continues Playing, Then Proceeds To Make Two Powerful Tackles [Video]

This Australian-born female rugby player caught the internet’s attention and was dubbed the “Rugby War Goddess” after she performed two bone-crushing tackles with a broken nose during a game over the weekend.

Georgia Page was playing for Lindenwood University in the U.S. Rugby Sevens match against Notre Dame when a brutal blow to the face shattered her nose. But, instead of seeking medical attention, she merely got back up and moments later proceeded to deliver a powerful tackle to a Notre Dame opponent.

The referee then noticed the blood gushing down her face and ordered her from the field to receive medical attention.

However, shortly after returning to the game in the second half, Page made another impressive tackle, which helped to lead her Lindenwood team to an ensured 24-17 win.

The hard-hitting Aussie soon became a viral sensation as many found her strong prowess quite an admirable one.

Pleased by the media attention, Page hopes her new-found internet fame will help to shine some light on a sport that barely gets any exposure – as well as get more people interested in playing and watching the game.

“I love how it does show what rugby is really about,” she told Buzzfeed about the video.
