‘The Big Bang Theory’ Star Jim Parsons To Discuss His Career On ‘Inside The Actors Studio’

Jim Parsons will be taking time out of his Broadway gig in An Act of God to discuss his career, including The Big Bang Theory, with James Lipton on Inside the Actors Studio. Parsons’ appearance has already been taped and covers his personal background and relationship with partner Todd Spiewak, according to Variety.

The long-running Inside the Actors Studio series offers in-depth interviews with participants in the film industry. It is produced in conjunction with the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University.

Lipton told Variety Parsons’ turn on the program was comedic and entertaining.

“Having an incredibly well-rounded, successful run in theater, film and television, Jim Parsons arrived on our stage for one of the most joyful — and hilarious — evenings in the 21-year history of ‘Inside the Actors Studio.'”

While fans wait for the broadcast of the interview later this month, they can catch Parsons in Big Bang Theory reruns — or on the Tony Awards Sunday night. Parsons is set to present an award.

Parsons is currently enjoying a run as the Almighty in the Broadway comedy An Act of God. The show opened too late for 2015 Tony consideration, but has enjoyed largely positive reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter reported Friday that the show has updated one joke about the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

“How about that Caitlyn Jenner? The first Kardashian woman I can tolerate — honestly!”

The line had previously referred to Bruce Jenner. David Javerbaum, whose book and Twitter account inspired the play, explained the change to THR.

“To keep up with current events, we have changed the subject of a line in ‘An Act of God’ from ‘Bruce Jenner’ to ‘Caitlyn Jenner’ — we suspect this transition was far easier than hers.”

As for the Inside the Actors Studio interview, Variety further reveals Lipton speaks with both Sheldon and “God,” as the Emmy-winner for The Big Bang Theory slips into character.

Fans will have to watch the program to see what other interesting tidbits from Parsons’ life will be discussed. The actor recently revealed to Vanity Fair that he and Todd have two dogs and even traced the DNA of their Maltese, who turned out to be an esteemed purebred. Parsons goes to bed early and rises in the wee hours to enjoy coffee, a protein drink, and time on the treadmill.

Inside the Actors Studio with Jim Parsons will air on Bravo June 18.
