Moose Family Plays In Water Sprinklers As Alaska Experiences Record High Temperatures [Video]

Candice Helm was at her home in Eagle River, Alaska, when she noticed a mother moose and her two baby moose siblings that appeared rather hot. In a bid to help the wildlife out, the woman went outside and turned on her water sprinklers to give the animals a place to cool off. After she went inside, the moose family approached the sprinklers and the baby moose calves began prancing in the water.

KFOR reports that Alaska has been experiencing record high temperatures, and some of the wildlife are struggling with the rising temperatures. One moose family was found walking in an Eagle River and looked particularly parched. Instead of making the moose fend for themselves, homeowner Candice Helm decided to give the moose family a little break by turning on her water sprinklers.

“They just strolled around the house and looked really hot. So we turned on the sprinklers and they were happy.”

Candice videoed the moose calves as they frolicked through the water in joy. They can be seen prancing about the grass as their mother stands near the water allowing it to flow over her body. The refreshed family eventually stands still and relishes in their cool new hangout.
