Max Payne 3 To Be Playable At PAX East This Weekend

If you’re headed out to PAX East later this week, you might want to make yourself a note to head over to Rockstar’s booth. The developer announced yesterday that a playable demo of Max Payne 3 will be available for attendees to check out all weekend long.

If you have plans to attend PAX East, you can find Rockstar at booth 912 starting this Friday. The developer didn’t clarify whether this would be a singleplayer sampling or if it would be multiplayer (or both!), but you’ll be able to play some form of Max Payne 3.

If that’s not enough to get you over to Rockstar’s booth, the company said that it will be giving away some Max Payne 3-related goodies at its booth, and will be holding various events. The developer also didn’t go into detail on that, either, so you’ll have to check out the booth to find out more.

As a long-time fan of the Max Payne series, I’m excited to get my hands on the game, but I have my concerns. On one hand, I’m glad that Rockstar didn’t decide to follow the same formula of the first two games. On the other hand, I’m afraid that they took Max Payne 3 a bit too far from the source material. I’d love to be proven wrong, though.

Max Payne 3 is set to release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 15.
