Ellie Goulding Explains Why She Deleted That Photo With Katy Perry, But Fans Don’t Believe Her
Ellie Goulding is generally a peaceful singer. She’s not one to let feuds get to her, until now. It looks like Ellie Goulding has got herself in the middle of the Taylor Swift and Katy Perry feud. The songstress shared a photo of herself partying with Swift’s enemy, Katy Perry, and BFF, Lorde.
In fact, both Goulding and Lorde shared the party photo on Twitter. They also explained their reason for why they were hanging with Katy Perry. Goulding said that she doesn’t know when the event took place, even though it happened over the weekend. As for Lorde, she explained that she just wanted to look like the dancing emoji in the red dress.
Ellie Goulding later removed the photo from her Instagram account, as previously reported via the Inquisitr. Now Swifties are wondering what made her delete the photo. Was it because of Swift’s rabid fans? Was it because the Taygency wanted it removed? According to Goulding, she simply deleted it because it wasn’t a flattering photo.
“Ohhh, I deleted… that because I looked bad in it. And I think I was a bit drunk. And I thought it wasn’t a very good, um, um, example of myself. Um, that, no. That’s so funny that um, that’s even a thing… No, I delete things all the time!… I zoomed in on my actual photo, and I was like, no.”

Fans don’t believe Ellie Goulding’s excuse for removing the photo. There’s no secret that there’s been “Bad Blood” between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. After all, that’s what everyone is thinking the singer penned the infamous song about. In her September, 2014, interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor Swift hinted about her feud with Katy Perry.
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’ “
Now, it looks like it’s coming back to bite her. In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Swift said she’ll never name names as to who the track is really about.
“I’m not giving them anything to write about. I’m not walking up the street with boys. I’m not stumbling out of clubs drunk. But I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen.
It’s not real if someone appears to never have any issues with anyone. I have my friends. I have enemies. I have bad days…I’m not nice all the time but I try not to be carelessly rude to people who don’t deserve it.”
Why did Ellie Goulding bother to remove the photo? She’s just making matters worse by feeling guilty about hanging out with Katy Perry. Now fans are wondering if Swift keeps a tight rein on her friends, especially whom they hang out with.
