Corey Simms’ Custody Threat Stood In The Way Of Leah Messer’s Rehab Plan?

Corey Simms and Leah Messer were involved in a heated custody battle at the end of last year, during filming on Teen Mom 2 season five. So, when the Teen Mom 2 star and mother of three decided to enter treatment last month, her ex-husband reportedly had a field day.

Although his reaction has yet to be confirmed, a source recently claimed Corey Simms threatened to take away Messer’s twins, leading her to delay her rehab stay.

“It has a little something to do with her custody battle(s),” OK! Magazine claimed on June 3.

In addition to Corey Simms’ alleged custody threat, Messer’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, has reportedly threatened her, as well, and not just that. Because the two men have bonded over their failed marriages with Messer, they are now using the same lawyer, and that could prove to be an extremely bad thing for Messer.

“Both Corey and Jeremy, who are allegedly using the same lawyer, thought about having an emergency hearing while she was gone to make sure that they get sole custody. However, both dads have apparently agreed to hold off on making moves on the custody front until Leah returns home to West Virginia.”

According to OK! Magazine, Corey Simms is currently caring for his and Messer’s twins, along with wife Miranda, and Messer’s sister, Victoria, is caring for her youngest daughter, Adalynn.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Corey Simms and Messer haven’t been on good terms for a while now, and at the end of last year, Messer targeted Corey Simms’ marriage in an elaborate Facebook message to fans. In the post, Messer claimed Corey Simms was pretending to be in a perfect marriage, and addressed their recent custody hearing.

“Things you see on Corey and Mirandas ‘official and APPROVED page’ is far from being true, and all I have to say about it is that they may want to be very WISE about what the post because a marriage that PRETENDS to be PERFECT is NEVER perfect, especially when there is way more not told to a specific spouse.”

“As far as the status on our court hearing… I am very happy with the results and will talk about it very soon. I think the results were in m daughters BEST interest.”
