Katy Perry To Release 3-D Documentary Called “Part of Me” [Video]

There seems to be a brief recollection of a rumor that Katy Perry would be releasing a 3-D documentary style movie of her concert experience, joining the ranks of Juntin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. Well it turns out the rumors were true and we are all going to get to see Perry on the silver screen.

While at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Perry dropped the title of the upcoming film while walking the red carpet. Perry told E!’s Kelly Osbourne that the movie is going to be in lockstep with her latest video release titled, “Katy Perry: Part of Me.” She hinted that the release date would be the Fourth of July also, and made a joke about fireworks and her movie.

Piggybacking off the success of “Never Say Never,” bigwig producing partners Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, are in talks to direct the 3D concert. The film is said to chronicle Perry’s public and private life.

Perry’s life both on stage and off has certainly been eventful; she’s dominated Top-40 charts with her poppy tunes, which include “I Kissed A Girl,” “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “Last Friday Night,” and “The One That Got Away.”,. She has also managed to dominate the tabloids with her high profile marriage to comedian Russell Brand coming to an end and her evangelical religious looney parents and their ridiculous rantings in public.

Hopefully Perry’s movie will be a look into the parts of her life that have not all be front page fodder. Fans are hoping that the film will let them learn a lot more about the pop sensation.
