Mariah Carey’s Lambs Go Crazy Over New ‘Infinity’ Video

Mariah Carey finally debuted her video for “Infinity” yesterday on Match.com. USA Today reported the news.

“The elusive chanteuse released her new video for Infinity today, premiering it by way of some good ol’ product placement — by embedding the video on her new Match.com profile. What we learned about Mariah from her profile: she considers herself a ‘social drinker,’ lists her profession as ‘Self-Employed/Entrepreneur’ and wants a date who’s at least six feet tall.”

There will no doubt be a lot of users who will sign with Match.com in order to get a date with Mariah, even though Mariah probably isn’t serious with the profile. In any case, Mariah Carey’s fans are definitely in love with the new “Infinity” video. Mariah’s little lambs went to YouTube in order to praise their mama.

“I can’t even describe how much I love this video! It’s so fantastic! I’m so happy for her! This looked like it was a lot of fun to make! It was like watching a movie with my favorite artist as the star. You go Mariah! I’m so proud to be your fan!” wrote commenter Blake Brown.

“Seen this video for the first time today when I was in hospital for an operation. Tears of joy came down my face. Mariah is back. I love you so much xxxxx,” wrote commenter Leuan Pritchard.

The Twitter Universe lit up in praise over Mariah Carey’s new video.

Let’s hope Mariah’s new “Infinity” video helps the song chart better. So far, it’s highest peak position on the Billboard Hot 100 is No. 82. While a lot of people may scuffle at that number, at least Mariah Carey charted somewhere. Because of the youth-oriented music industry, any star over the age of 40 is pretty much dead on the charts.

Mariah Carey recently performed “Infinity” along with her first hit, “Vision of Love,” at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards and received, for the most part, good reviews. Entertainment Weekly said Mariah is still the reigning vocalist.

“The 45-year-old started with a pitch-perfect rendition of ‘Vision Of Love’—her first No. 1, which turned 25 on Friday—before segueing into her most recent single, ‘Infinity.’ The song has a long way to go before topping any charts, but Carey gave it as rousing of a performance as the track that put her in the map two decades ago.”

Mariah Carey is set to continue her Las Vegas residency in July. Let’s hope the upcoming performances are as well-received as her new video. What do you think of Mariah Carey’s “Infinity” video? Tell us in the comments section.
