Kaitlyn Bristowe Judged For Having Sex On TV: ‘Why Is It So Wrong To Do It?’

Kaitlyn Bristowe knew that the tabloids would be harsh as she took on the role of The Bachelorette. Kaitlyn had been on The Bachelor, fighting to get the attention of Chris Soules, so she knew that the rumor mill could quickly spin out of control. When Chris was on the show, he was often criticized for not showing emotion.

So when Kaitlyn Bristowe filmed The Bachelorette, she knew that she would be slammed in the press. During filming, Bristowe hooked up with one of the contestants and went all the way with him while wearing a microphone. Bristowe does have some regrets in having sex on television, and she is now revealing that she is hurt because of the way people are reacting to her journey.

According to a new People report, Kaitlyn Bristowe doesn’t think that having sex is a big deal, especially when she is looking for her husband. But Kaitlyn is surprised at how people are reacting to her having sex with a contestant, especially since many past contestants have had sex in the Fantasy Suites.

“I knew people were going to get mad at me for kissing,” Kaitlyn Bristowe has revealed, adding, “I knew there were going to be magazines with crazy headlines. I prepared myself. I definitely have tough skin, but when people are calling you names like a slut, it hurts. It’s been really hard.”

If a male contestant had sex on the show, the reactions may have been different. Some people may have thought that the male contestant was right to have sex with the ladies, and others may have thought that he would have been a pig. But it sounds like Kaitlyn is getting judged regardless of her own justification. Bristowe wants people to know that it is not a big deal.

“It’s 2015,” Kaitlyn Bristowe points out, adding, “How is this still an issue where if a woman [has sex], it’s wrong, and if a man does, it’s right? To me, it wasn’t some crazy negative thing I was doing. If somebody was friends with somebody and they knew that they had sex in a relationship, they wouldn’t go on social media and start slut-shaming them.”

Kaitlyn doesn’t want people to focus on her decisions on the show, especially when it comes to intimacy. And it sounds like this entire journey isn’t what Bristowe expected. According to the Inquisitr, Kaitlyn has said that the outcome is not what she had expected, which could hint that she is disappointed with the results.
