Batman’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Scene Finally Explained, Just What Is Ben Affleck’s Batman Doing In The Upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ Film

Batman v Superman and the Suicide Squad are quickly becoming some of the most anticipated films of the next few years, as many of stills from both films keep being leaked on the net. So, it makes sense that a Batman scene within the Suicide Squad film would garner even more attention. The Inquisitr reported in May that a Ben Affleck Batman was spotted chasing Harley Quinn and the Joker in a still from the set of the Suicide Squad film. It was leaked by pedestrians and onlookers in the immediate area.

Up until this point, there was no word on a Batman being in the villains-turned-super-heroes film, so no one knew exactly what the nature of Batman’s trek into the film meant exactly. Heroic Hollywood reports on just why that Batman scene, that lit up Twitter, is in Suicide Squad. The information on this Batman scene in the upcoming Suicide Squad film can be construed by some as spoilers. So, warning, this will contain information about Batman and the Suicide Squad film that has yet to be released.

“In short, he goes and pays Amanda Waller a visit. Batman BREAKS into her massive security prison. In fact… he’s already inside Amanda Waller’s office waiting for her in the shadows when she appears. Typical Batman. Already inside a maximum security prison designed to contain super villains and he is already inside. The guards are clueless.”

Batman’s scene in the Suicide Squad film seems to be more than just time spent chasing Harley Quinn and the Joker. He is apparently in said film to address his issue with them directly to their boss, Amanda Waller.

“Batman has a bone to pick with Waller. You see, Batman is totally against the concept behind the Suicide Squad, in fact he warns Waller that he will hold her personally responsible for any innocents The Joker & the rest of the Suicide Squad kill. A warning so stern that he has to visit Waller personally to deliver the message.”

So, the picture of the Dark Knight chasing the Joker and Harley Quinn in the film is not entirely detailed, but we do know that he is in the Suicide Squad film because of the Joker and Harley Quinn. It would appear he is there as a result of the formation of the squad in general. This involvement of Batman from Batman v Superman in the Suicide Squad film seems to suggest that DC Comics intends to make sure all of their film properties connect similarly as their TV shows do.

More information about Batman and the Suicide Squad is sure to come out over the next year and a half that separates now from August 5, 2016, which is the release date for the Suicide Squad, as Comicbook points out.

Are you excited to hear Batman has a few scenes in the Suicide Squad film? Will they show up in Batman v Superman? Will the films intersect as much as the DC TV Universe?
