Jessica Lange Responds To The Caitlyn Jenner Comparisons
After Caitlyn Jenner made her appearance on the Vanity Fair cover, many fans took to social media to remark how she bares a striking resemblance to actress Jessica Lange. So, how does the American Horror Story star feel about the comparisons?
Jessica Lange thinks it’s wonderful! In a recent interview, the legendary star was asked what she thought of the social media’s comparisons to her resemblance to Jenner.
“Oh really? That’s so wonderful. Well now I’m going to have to look for that picture.”
It’s obvious that Lange didn’t realize Jenner’s gender transformation. Maybe she wasn’t around when Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover was revealed to the world on Monday morning. The groundbreaking cover quickly became the No. 1 trending topic on twitter. In fact, Caitlyn Jenner has been trending on the social networking site. Jessica Lange’s name was also trending because of the Vanity Fair cover.
Even Jessica needed some explanation as to what “trending on Twitter” meant. It sounds like the 66-year-old actress doesn’t have the time to learn social media.
“What does that mean? Trending on Twitter because Caitlyn Jenner on the cover—you see I don’t do any of this stuff, the Internet. So I have no clue when people use this terminology. I have to repeat it to understand.”
Caitlyn Jenner has also been compared to Rene Russo, Geena Davis, Melissa Gilbert, and Lana Del Rey. Fans on social media have been sharing their thoughts about Jenner’s appearance on Vanity Fair.
In addition to Caitlyn’s now iconic cover, the 65-year-old revealed that she has no regrets about her transition.
“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.”
