‘UnREAL’ Spoilers: What Can Viewers Expect From This New Lifetime Show?

Lifetime is taking a swing at ABC’s The Bachelorette 2015 season, and the franchise as a whole, with the new show called UnREAL that premieres Monday night. This new show has a star-studded cast and is a show that focuses on the drama behind the cameras of a fictitious show called Everlasting. What can fans expect from this one?

Those who tune in to UnREAL will quickly see that Everlasting takes a page right out of the world of The Bachelorette franchise. While the on-screen antics with the lead and contestants will be part of the story, it’s the chaos behind the cameras that is the story with this show.

Lifetime’s new series stars Shiri Appleby, known by many for her role on Roswell. However, Appleby has also had key roles on shows like Girls, Chicago Fire, ER, and Life Unexpected in the years since then. Shiri stars as Rachel, a freelance producer who is back on the set after a dramatic meltdown. TVLine teases that Rachel will be trying to balance her morals with her decision to work on the show, and it’s not an easy combination to manage.

Constance Zimmer stars as Quinn, the executive trying to pull the show together and keep all the moving pieces in order. Quinn is clearly a tough woman to work for, and she seemingly has a pretty complicated relationship with Rachel. Many will recognize Zimmer from her roles on Entourage, House of Cards, The Newsroom, and older shows like Joan of Arcadia, Boston Legal, or Love Bites. Other familiar faces include Craig Bierko from Damages, Boston Legal, and Sex and the City, along with Josh Kelly from One Life to Live.

Lifetime has already posted the first nine minutes of the UnREAL premiere on their site, and Bachelorette fans are definitely buzzing about how addictive this one may well be. Gossip guru Reality Steve has been hyping this show quite a bit, and he even explains that he has worked with Lifetime a bit in pulling it together.

Steve has seen the first few episodes and he’s telling his followers that the show really nails what it’s like to be involved with a reality TV franchise like The Bachelorette and other similar shows. Right now, the show is slated to air over 10 episodes, but people are already talking about wanting more. While UnREAL spoilers indicate that viewers will see just what happens in terms of manipulating the contestants and such, they’ll also learn more about Rachel and the others working on the show.

Lifetime is wisely airing UnREAL on their network in the time slot directly after The Bachelorette on ABC on Monday nights. Will curious people switch over and stay tuned in to this new drama? People are definitely buzzing about this one, and with a hot premise and all-star cast, many are betting that UnREAL is about to be the next big hit for Lifetime.
