911, Help…I Didn’t Get Sauce On My Sandwich

We talked last week about some strange phone calls coming into the UK’s 999 emergency line. This week, it’s America taking the cake — or, to be more accurate, the sandwich — when it comes to unusual police calls.

A man in Jacksonville, Florida called 911 twice to complain that Subway forgot to put the sauce on his spicy Italian sandwich, according to the city’s newspaper. The first call, the paper says, was to report the faulty sandwich. The second was to ask why officers were taking so long to arrive.

Employees at the Subway store say they locked the guy out when he started yelling and becoming belligerent. He was eventually arrested.

Maybe those sandwich artists will learn to put the damned sauce on next time.
