‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’: Captain Cold’s ‘Shades Of Gray,’ Plus Ronnie Will ‘Be Around’

While not much is known just yet when it comes to specifics about the new CW series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash, that doesn’t mean fans are going to have to wait to find out what could be coming up and to see the cast talking about their characters.

There is already a promo – which contains the only footage that has been filmed thus far for Legends of Tomorrow – showing Oliver Queen (previously known as the Hood/the Arrow and currently off finding himself) and Barry Allen (The Flash) talking to the group of heroes and villains that has been assembled – Dr. Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm (Victor Garber), Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), who was brought back via the Lazarus Pit, as revealed in the trailer, Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). Also part of the cast are Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave) and Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson).

“I can’t imagine any kind of future where I’m a hero,” Captain Cold says in the trailer above, to which Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) explains, “You’re not. See, in the future, none of you are heroes. You’re legends.”

Following along those same lines, Wentworth Miller spoke to Entertainment Weekly about this group of heroes and villains working together and whether or not they’ll be able to succeed.

“I hope the answer is no on the way to yes. Because if you stuff a bunch of rabid dogs in a barrel and role it downhill, that’s something that’s worth watching.”

That said, Miller added that while Captain Cold is a villain, he does care about his sister, and his time spent with the good guys could influence him.

“There are people that he’s willing to put ahead of himself, so now that he’s aligned with these good guys, for better or worse, they’re going to start influencing him and his way of thinking. I’m excited to explore his shades of gray so we see he’s not just a villain, he’s a man.”

TV Fanatic has posted a video of interviews with the cast talking about their characters as much as they can at the moment.

“Jay Jackson’s an ex-high school athlete who gets injured and is working as a mechanic, and then he gets involved,” Drameh teased.

As for Hawkgirl, Renee revealed that they’re going to “meld some of the storylines that [she] has had over the years together” as they tell her character’s origins.

For those wondering about Dr. Stein’s presence in Legends of Tomorrow and Robbie Amell’s absence (at least at the moment), Garber reveals Ronnie will “be around.”

If you’re wondering how Sara will be following her resurrection, Lotz pointed to her “circumstances and her backstory” and what she’s dealt with as the things that will make her “very interesting” in the world of the show.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will join the CW’s midseason lineup in 2016.
