‘RHOBH’ Star Kyle Richards Claims Her Sister, Kim Richards, Plans To Check Back Into Rehab After Mexican Meltdown

The drama between Kim Richards and Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has reached new heights. According to TMZ, Kyle and Kim are no longer speaking to each other after Kim’s wedding fiasco in Mexico.

Kim had a pretty epic meltdown during her daughter’s wedding in Mexico. TMZ broke the news that Kim relapsed during the ceremony and managed to create quite the drunken ruckus with both families. Kim’s relapse was so bad that her daughter, Brooke, has stated that she will not talk to her mother ever again.

The recent relapse comes after the reality star was arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct and assault on police officers at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Kim tried to get help for her addiction following the arrest, but after misbehaving in Mexico, she failed to return to her rehab facility.

When asked about her sister’s failure to show up for rehab, Kyle Richards told TMZ “She’s supposed to. That’s the plan.” She went on to reveal that she had not spoken to her sister since the disaster in Mexico. “I have not spoken with her,” Kyle stated.

Despite her recent withdrawals and public meltdowns, Kim is well aware of how her actions are affecting the people around her. In a recent interview with Dr. Phil, Kim talked about her problems and how dissatisfied she is about her past decisions.

“The bottom line is, it’s the overall outcome of where today is with my relationships with the people I love the most, and that’s what really started getting me upset,” Kim explained.

Kim and Kyle’s strained relationship has been well documented on the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Back in Season 1, Kyle confronted Kim about her alcoholism in the back of a limo that will probably go down as one of the most epic Housewives fights of all time.

Throughout the next few seasons, Kim’s behavior continued to be strange, which Kyle seemingly tried to ignore. This was followed by a stint in rehab in 2012. At the time Kyle opened up to Good Morning America about what finally made her sister seek help.

“It wasn’t about the Housewives. I think it was just an accumulation of things.”

“It was our family and sitting down, and she really felt it was time,” she said. “I have to give her credit for making that decision on her own.”

Here’s hoping that the relationship between Kyle Richards and her sister can be saved and that Kim gets the help that it seems she needs.
