‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For Weekend Of May 29, First ‘House Of Wolves’ Exotic Armor Sold
It took the second visit from Xûr, Agent of the Nine, in Destiny following the release of “The House of Wolves” before he sold an Exotic item from the expansion. Warlocks are the beneficiary while the other two Guardian classes in the PlayStation and Xbox shooter are asking when they get their turn.
Xûr can be found next to the Crucible Quartermaster in the Tower this weekend. Simply head straight towards the Vanguard hall after spawning in the tower and look against the wall on the left just before you run into the Quartermaster. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, May 17. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.
We finally get our first piece of Exotic gear from “House of Wolves” sold by Xûr, and it’s an interesting piece with a bi-polar stat roll. The other items are old hat by now, but existing Destiny players could use them for decent upgrades, and they aren’t bad for newer players either.
Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
Patience and Time is one of the better sniper rifles in Destiny, thanks to its stability and perks. It’s reload speed is slow and the magazine holds only six bullets, but that is offset by the Third Eye perk that keeps the in-game radar up while aiming down the sights. The Patience and Time namesake perk also turns on active camouflage when aiming, and the weapon’s Arc damage is always good for an Arc burn week in the Weekly Nightfall Strikes and Prison of Elders.
The Crest of Alpha Lupi chest armor is for Titans focused on team play and has become more valuable thanks to the addition of Trials of Osiris. Two perks grant more Auto Rifle and Special Weapon ammo, but the Keeper of the Pack perk allows you to revive fallen teammates very quickly, and you are revived faster in return. Guardians wearing this piece also generate more orbs when they hit their super ability.
The 165 Intellect stat roll would be great under the old stat maximums. It is average at the new 195 max for chest pieces though. It’s a great piece to own for PVP and the stat upgrade may be needed for some.
Achlyophage Symbiote is a must for Gunslinger Hunters. It gives an extra shot to the Golden Gun with the Last Man Standing perk, which translates to four shots instead of three. That’s always useful in both PVP and PVE. Fastball will increase grenade throw distance, and Ashes to Asset will help replenish Super Energy with each grenade kill.
The 120 Discipline stat roll is close to the old working max but is now average under the new max. This has been sold so many times, but it may be appealing only to new players.
Nothing Manacles are the new Warlock Exotic Gauntlets that came with “House of Wolves” and come with some interesting perks. The Attunement perk grants bonuses to your abilities while Attunement allows for extra ability damage against higher level enemies. The main draw may be the Scatter Charge perk since it enables tracking for Scatter Grenades and allows Guardians to hold two grenades at a time.
The split stat roll of 42 Intellect and 68 Discipline is bad and great, respectively. The latter is just one point away from the maximum on split stat rolls while there’s a big gap for the former. If you’ve got the coins to spend, it may be worth the pickup just to test them out.
