Eric Lembo And Trang Nguyen: 3-Year-Old Thrown $50K Birthday Party, Eric And Trang Defend Expense
Eric Lembo and Trang Nguyen spent $50,000 on a birthday party for their three-year old, Lauren, but before you tell them that’s way too much money, they have defended their decision.

According to the Canada Journal, the couple, who live in Perth, decided to really go for it, giving their little girl an amazing birthday party, even if she’s too young to really appreciate the details. And believe us when we say they went all out.
“With 220 guests to entertain, and the birthday girl herself, Lembo and Nguyen called in a former Australian Idol contestant (Courtney Murphy, by the way), a life-sized Minnie and Mickey Mouse, a fairy floss station, balloon artist, face painter, photo booth, a menu that included tempura scallops, truffle arancini, pork belly, paella, wood fired pizza and oysters, and several bottles of Remy Martin XO Cognac, which retails at $200 bucks a pop.”
Eric Lembo and Trang Nguyen explained that the Italian and the Vietnamese cultures are known for throwing big first birthday parties, so they just decided to keep the tradition going. The child also had a pricey second birthday — and her fourth will likely be just as swanky.
Of course these parties cost more than some weddings, but Eric and Trang think it is totally worth it. While some people feel this is absolutely ridiculous (what happened to having a cake in the kitchen of your apartment surrounded by 12 relatives?), others think that its the prerogative of the parents to do whatever they want. If they can afford it, who really cares?
According to Mail Online, the couple responded to criticism by saying that they also do their part to give back where they can.
“The couple faced criticism online when the high price tag of their daughter’s party was revealed, but Mr. Lembo has hit back saying he regularly donates to charity and the birthday party injected money into the local community. The businessman said he previously gifted a wedding to a terminally ill cancer patient and fundraising for a victim of the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria.”
Eric Lembo and Trang Nguyen spent $3,000 on a photographer, $10,000 on decorations, and nearly $20,000 on food and staff, as previously reported by the Inquisitr.
