Watch Chris Pratt And Son Make Tribute To Memorial Day

Memorial Day has come and gone, but Chris Pratt is making sure that the patriotic spirit doesn’t leave with it this year. On Wednesday, Pratt shared an adorable and inspiring video of him and his 2-year-old son, Jack, saying the pledge of allegiance while saluting the flag.

Pratt’s wife, Anna Faris, held the camera steady as Chris Pratt and son stood on a white porch, hands over hearts, repeating the words of the patriotic anthem. Watch as Chris recites the words, and little Jack repeats them in his most excited voice.

He posted the video on Facebook a few days late with this message.

“Meant to post this on #MemorialDay but I was in China and my phone wasn’t working. I’m proud to be American. I’m blessed to get to travel the world! #IPledgeAllegiance.”

This adorable video is just one more reason American’s are loving Chris Pratt. With the controversy surrounding the American flag and the Pledge of Allegiance, patriotic fans are extremely pleased such a popular icon isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes and teach his son to boot.

Pratt was reportedly in China over the Memorial Day weekend on his Jurassic World press tour. Aside from sharing this charming video, he also posted about his trip.

“Well I just got back from China. Wow! What an amazing country. I spent three days there and was sadly not able to meet all 1.4 billion of its wonderful citizens in that short time BUT… The folks I did meet were genuinely nice and equally excited for Jurassic World!”

Regarding the press tour, Chris Pratt apologized before he went on it for anything offensive he might say, according to this post published previously on Inquistr.

In an eloquently penned statement, Pratt said, “I want to make a heartfelt apology for whatever it is I end up accidentally saying during the forthcoming ?#?JurassicWorld? press tour. I hope you understand it was never my intention to offend anyone and I am truly sorry. I swear. I’m the nicest guy in the world. And I fully regret what I (accidentally will have) said in (the upcoming foreign and domestic) interview(s).”

He ends by acknowledging his humanity.

“I am not in the business of making excuses. I am just dumb. Plain and simple. I try. I REALLY try!”

No one can fault him for that. With last year’s success in Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt is a popular actor/director who can’t do much wrong in the eyes of the public. He is revered for his pleasant, humorous nature and his talents.

He is the star of the upcoming film Jurassic World, which is set to be released in theaters June 12, and fans are thrilled to see what Chris Pratt has in store.
