Anne Hathaway, Adam Shulman Engagement Party Details Hit the Web

Although Anne Hathaway’s wedding isn’t scheduled to take place till next year, the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ actress and fiancée Adam Shulman have already started celebrating by throwing an amazingly “fun” engagement extravaganza.

The happy couple celebrated their engagement by hosting a party in New York City that took place in a bookstore in February.

Adding to the “quirky but cute” party, were personal touches, including a delicious array of vegan food and decorations such as bird-shaped vases filled with Hathaway’s favorite flowers- ranunculus and anemones.

One attendee opened up about the special gathering while speaking to Us Weekly recently.

“Everything was so fun, just like Annie,” said the insider.

Hathaway and Schulman – who started dating in 2008 following the Princess Diaries star’s split from real estate developer Raffaello Follieri – announced their engagement in November and Anne explained he ”ruined” her plans to stay single.

”I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan,” Hathaway said at the time. “I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”

The couple is reportedly planning a New York venue for their wedding, but are keeping quiet on the details ahead the October 2013 nuptials.

“They’re keeping it a secret until right before,” divulged the magazine’s source.

Anne Hathaway, 29, was named by People magazine as one of its breakthrough stars of 2001.

In addition to her breakthrough role in the “Princess Diaries” series and upcoming part as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises (July 20), she is well known for her movies, such as “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Valentine’s Day.”
