Bobbi Kristina Brown And Whitney Houston Update: Investigative Book To Be Released

The late legendary musical icon Whitney Houston and her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, are the focus of a new investigative book that’s slated for release on June 9. Gallery Books announced today that the book, authored by award-winning investigative journalist Ian Halperin, focuses on both mother and daughter and how fame and fortune may have caused their downfalls.

N.J. Advance Media reports that the book, entitled, Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame, starts with the beginnings of fame for superstar Houston, leading into the singer’s infamous downfall with drugs that ultimately may have tied into Bobbi Kristina’s current situation.

Halperin, arguably best-known for his 2009 New York times best-seller, Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson, reportedly interviewed numerous family members for his new book, including Bobbi Kristina, before the January 31 incident that left her comatose and fighting for her life.

Although it’s only been a little over four months since Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, townhome, Gallery Books indicates that the story follows closely upon the fact that Houston, eerily, was also found comatose in a bathtub just before her death in 2012.

Houston’s death, although ruled as an accidental drowning, has never sat right with numerous fans and supporters. The details surrounding the singer’s demise still doesn’t make sense to many people, and since then, there have been rumors and speculations that her death was not in the least bit accidental.

With the recent allegations surrounding Nick Gordon’s involvement in the January 31 incident with Bobbi Kristina, Houston’s case has once again resurfaced. It took a more dramatic turn after Gordon’s mother announced on The Dr. Phil Show that her son had not only attempted CPR on Bobbi Kristina, but also on Houston the same night she died. Gordon, 26, is Bobbi Kristina’s live-in boyfriend, who also once lived with Houston as an unofficial adopted son.

The story, however, is still incomplete. While the new book will hopefully shed light on the many aspects that may have led to Houston’s death and her daughter’s current condition, an investigation into what exactly caused Bobbi Kristina’s comatose state is still ongoing. Gordon remains the primary suspect in the investigation, according to the Roswell Police Department.

In addition to the upcoming Bobbi Kristina Brown and Whitney Houston book, Halperin has also authored numerous other non-fiction celebrity stories, including, Who Killed Kurt Cobain? The Mysterious Death of an Icon, Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Bad And Beautiful: Inside the Dazzling And Deadly World of Supermodels.
